More About Me

I love working with creative professionals because I have been a creative person my entire life. As a young girl, I went from gymnastics to dance. As a teenager, I traveled the world and learned all about the world of fashion. In my 20s, I was make-up artist. As a photographer, I went from admiring exquisite cat photo books to becoming a well published editorial feline photographer in my 30s and 40s. I am a language nerd, having earned my BA from the University of Houston, Summa Laude, in Linguistics. I love Noam Chomsky’s “transformational syntax” – a new paradigm in diagramming grammatical structures. Also in my 30s, I went from being a breast cancer patient to embarking on a 20-year career in breast cancer research and support advocacy, in Chicago, San Diego, and Washington DC. I became the first resident patient advocate in a laboratory at the Salk Institute. My scientific mentor, who became family to me, Geoff Wahl, PhD, saw to it that I had face-time with scientific luminaries, including Nobel Prize winners and groundbreaking scientific discoverers from decades past. In this role, I learned to do public speaking and media events to raise awareness and to seek funding for cancer research. Simultaneous to these pursuits, I enjoyed the transcendent nature of music, going from playing piano as a child to being in several high caliber choirs, including the Houston Symphony Chorus and the Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale. I went from being in choirs, to being Board President of two choirs...at the same time. As choir President, I booked one of my choirs to perform in a 15,000-seat stadium with Andrea Bocelli on his 2019 National Tour, in Southern California. I also went from immersing myself in the Adobe Creative Suite twenty years ago to doing graphic design for world class musicians. I am a great “fit” with creative professionals, particularly in the Performing Arts, but also in photography and other visual art forms. I also fit well with writing-centric professions and entrepreneurship. We all begin somewhere and I believe that how we evolve in our various roles, careers, pursuits, and passions is a reflection of our attitude, willingness to learn, and work ethic.

Two more things to know about me: I am a people-person – and – I love cats!

I bring all of my life experiences with me to my career as a web designer. I have an affinity not only for performing arts and creative professionals, but also for anyone with imagination and diligence who starts a new business. My web design can help budding solopreneurs, as well as creative professionals. My ideal clients are musicians, dancers, writers, interior designers, fashion designers, make-up artists, self-starters, and more. If you’re a creator, I would love to work with you!

Of special note

‍I could not have gotten through difficult times or enjoyed the most spectacular of times without my soulmate and husband of over 30 years, Ron. His unwavering support and love have kept me grounded and filled my days with love.
